The new subscription series

The orchestra’s annual cycle of concerts in Vienna’s Musikverein has become a popular fixture in the city’s musical calendar. In the 2013-14 season we welcome our debut appearances with Anna Prohaska, Lawrence Zazzo and Jan Vogler, and the return of distinguished soloists such as Isabelle Faust, Robin Blaze & Benjamin Schmid.

The Sound of Weimar

For the very first time, all the symphonic poems of Franz Liszt have been performed and now recorded on period instruments, in the original orchestra line-up of the first performances in Weimar (with the exception of the "Dante Symphony" first performed in Dresden). The award winning series "The Sound of Weimar" is now available as 5 CD-Box.
